Dariusz Bąkowski-Kois – ukończył Akademię Muzyczną w Krakowie w klasie organów prof. Józefa Serafina (2000, dyplom z wyróżnieniem). Jest laureatem kilku konkursów krajowych i międzynarodowych, m.in. V Międzynarodowego Konkursu Organowego im. F. Schuberta w Cremolino (Włochy 2001, III nagroda i brązowy medal). Prowadzi ożywioną działalność koncertową w kraju i za granicą: występował we Francji, Niemczech, Austrii, Szwajcarii, Włoszech, w Meksyku, a także w Brazylii.

Specjalizację w zakresie wykonawstwa francuskiej neoromantycznej symfoniki organowej odbył w ramach studiów podyplomowych w Akademii Muzycznej im. F. Chopina w Warszawie pod kierunkiem kwal. II st. Magdaleny Czajki (2002/2003). Studia podyplomowe kontynuował (2003/2004) w Konserwatorium Wiedeńskim (obecnie: Privatuniversität Wien) w klasie organów Thomasa Schmögnera.

W 1997 ukończył studia historyczne na Uniwersytecie Jagiellońskim, od 1999 jest pracownikiem Katedry Organów Akademii Muzycznej w Krakowie. W 2002 doktoryzował się na Wydziale Historycznym UJ. W 2006 uzyskał stopień doktora habilitowanego, w roku 2013 otrzymał z rąk Prezydenta RP tytuł profesora sztuk muzycznych.

W latach 2008-2012 był Prodziekanem Wydziału Instrumentalnego, zaś w kadencji władz Uczelni 2012-2016 pełni obecnie funkcję Prorektora ds. dydaktyki i rozwoju kadry AM w Krakowie.

Dariusz Bąkowski-Kois - graduated from the Academy of Music in Kraków in the organ class of Prof. Józef Serafin (2000, diploma with honors). He is a laureate of several national and international competitions, including the 5th Franz Schubert International Organ Competition (Italy 2001, third prize and bronze medal). He has given numerous concerts at home and abroad including France, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Italy, Mexico, and Brazil.

He specialized in the performance of the French neo-romantic symphonic organ music within the framework of post-graduate studies at the Frederic Chopin Academy of Music in Warsaw under Magdalena Czajka (2002/2003). He continued his post-graduate studies at the Vienna Conservatory (now Privatuniversität Vienna) in the class of organ of Thomas Schmögnera (2003/2004).

A graduate from the Jagiellonian University in history in 1997; a staff member of the Organ Department at the Academy of Music in Kraków since 1999; a PhD in the Department of History at the Jagiellonian University in 2002; Assistant Professor since 2006; received the title of Professor of Musical Arts from the President of Poland in 2013.

In 2008-2012 he was Vice-Dean of the Instrumental Department, and for the term 2012-2016 he holds the position of Vice-Rector for Education and Staff Development at the Academy of Music in Kraków.
